New malware (worm) targeting Facebook users

A new Facebook worm is spreading over the social network. The Facebook targeted malware is attacking thousands of Facebook users by exploiting a JavaScript flaw. The JavaScript exploit forces users to “like” a Facebook page, which then automatically spreads it through a user’s wall by leaving a malicious link on a victim’s wall.

The worm spreads by clicking the link “Shocking! This girl killed herself after her dad posted this photo.” and by clicking on this link a user will get the same message on his/her wall. The malware does not steal personal information or users passwords. ID Theft Protect suggests you DELETE the post link from your page and tell your friends to do the same. Safe surfing folks!
